FEA On Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composite


It is a project report which involves utilization of one of the key principle of mechanical engineering i.e., finite element analysis. I developed a Finite Element program in MATLAB to approximate the displacement and stress field of a glass fiber reinforced epoxy composite of 20nm diameter and compared the obtained solution with the results generated from a commercial FEM solver “ABAQUS” and submitted as a report as per the requirements. This project helped me to understand the key feature of the finite element method, which are important in the process of designing and analyzing a component. This project and helped me to gain proficient knowledge of MATLAB and ABAQUS software.
